Rediscover Movement, Connection, and Joy
At Cavikas, we believe that dance is for everyone — no exceptions. Through Argentine Tango, we offer amputees a unique opportunity to reconnect with their bodies, rebuild confidence, and experience the healing power of human connection.
Why Tango?
Argentine Tango is a deeply personal and expressive dance that doesn’t require memorized steps or perfect technique. It’s about presence, improvisation, and trust — qualities that resonate deeply with those navigating life after limb loss. The dance offers a gentle yet powerful way to explore movement, reclaim balance, and foster connection in a safe, inclusive environment.
Graceful Aging Through Movement, Music, and Meaningful Connection
At Cavikas, we honor the wisdom and spirit of our elders by offering Argentine Tango as a joyful, accessible, and healing practice. Our “Tango for the Elderly” program is designed to support healthy aging — physically, mentally, and emotionally — in a welcoming and inclusive community.
Why Tango?
Argentine Tango is one of the few activities that stimulates the body, the brain, and the heart — all at the same time. It’s gentle, elegant, and adaptable for all mobility levels. With its emphasis on posture, coordination, balance, and connection, tango is a perfect way for older adults to stay active, engaged, and inspired.
Healing Through Movement, Reclaiming the Body, Restoring the Spirit
At Cavikas, we understand that life after cancer comes with visible and invisible scars. Our “Tango for Cancer Survivors” program offers a path back to wholeness — through movement, music, and community. We welcome you just as you are, and celebrate the strength, heart, and courage you bring to the dance floor.
Why Tango?
We know that cancer can change how you see your body — and how the world sees you. You may have lost a breast, lost your hair, or carry physical reminders of your journey. In the tango embrace, none of that matters.
Art. Emotion. Connection. Culture. Leadership. Fun.
Argentine Tango may be over 100 years old — but for today’s youth, it offers something powerful and relevant: a way to move, connect, and grow in a world that often feels disconnected, rushed, or uncertain. At Cavikas, we introduce the next generation to tango not just as a dance — but as a tool for self-discovery, leadership, emotional intelligence, and deep human connection.
Why Tango?
Because young people today are craving something real.
In a culture of constant scrolling, quick likes, and curated images, tango invites you to slow down — to be present, to feel, to listen, and to connect without needing words. It’s not about how you look. It’s about how you move, how you relate, and how you show up with another person — with respect, curiosity, and care.

Rediscover Movement, Connection, and Joy with Cavikas
At Cavikas, we believe that dance is for everyone — no exceptions. Through the transformative power of Argentine Tango, we provide amputees a unique opportunity to reconnect with their bodies, rebuild confidence, and experience the healing power of human connection.
While Tango mimics many of the essential exercises found in physical therapy (like walking forward, pivoting, and balancing), it adds something truly special: joy. The rhythm of music, the support of a dance partner, and the warmth of a supportive community make all the difference. Here, therapy becomes a celebration of movement. People often don’t even realize how much progress they’re making because they’re having so much fun doing it.
And the best part? It’s free for you and your partner!
Tango works like physical therapy — we do many of the same essential exercises:
The difference? We do it with music, with partners, and in a warm, encouraging environment where everyone supports each other. There’s laughter, connection, and the simple joy of moving together. It’s therapy through dance — and often, participants don’t even realize how much progress they’re making because they’re having fun.
And the best part? It’s free for you and your partner.
While physical therapy is often done one-on-one, Tango for Amputees offers the added benefit of group classes, where the energy of the group makes each session more enjoyable and inspiring. Dance is a communal experience — and when you move together, you heal together. The support, encouragement, and camaraderie of fellow participants create a dynamic environment where laughter and connection are just as important as progress. It’s a celebration of shared experience, where every step brings you closer to rediscovering the joy of movement.
For amputees, Tango is so much more than a dance — it’s a powerful tool for healing and growth. The benefits include:
Cavikas offers adaptive Tango classes designed specifically for individuals with limb loss. Our teaching approach is:

We know that cancer can change how you see your body — and how the world sees you. You may have lost a breast, lost your hair, or carry physical reminders of your journey. In the tango embrace, none of that matters.
While tango movements share similarities with physical therapy, there’s something special about learning and healing together. In our group classes, you’ll dance to beautiful music, connect with others who understand, and build each other up. It’s not just about improving posture and balance, it’s about finding joy, laughter, and new friendships. In the supportive environment of our group, healing is more enjoyable and uplifting — a true celebration of life.
Many of the movements we use in tango are the same ones recommended in physical therapy for seniors:
But instead of doing it alone in a clinic, our dancers move to beautiful music, surrounded by friends and encouragement. There’s joy in every step — and that makes a huge difference.
Best of all, it’s free for you and your partner.
Argentine Tango offers survivors a gentle, joyful way to reconnect with their bodies, rebuild trust in movement, and find emotional release. It’s not about perfection. It’s about presence — and permission to feel alive again.
Whether you’re new to tango or have danced before, we invite you to join our free classes. In our welcoming community, you are seen for all that you are — your heart, your soul, and the joy you bring to the dance floor. Take the first step toward reclaiming your body, restoring your spirit, and finding joy in movement.
And remember, our classes are always free for you and your partner.
Come dance with us. Come heal with us. Let’s make every step count together.
Each class is designed to be:
Art. Emotion. Connection. Culture. Leadership. Fun.
Argentine Tango might be over 100 years old, but it’s more relevant than ever for today’s youth. In a world that often feels disconnected, fast-paced, and overwhelmed, tango offers a unique opportunity to slow down, connect deeply with yourself and others, and experience a form of self-expression that’s authentic and meaningful.
At Cavikas, we introduce the next generation to tango not just as a dance — but as a tool for personal growth, emotional intelligence, leadership, and human connection.
Because today’s youth are craving something real.
In a culture where everything moves at the speed of a scroll and everything is filtered and curated, tango invites you to pause. It encourages you to be present, to feel, and to truly connect — without needing words. Tango isn’t about how you look; it’s about how you move, how you listen, and how you show up with curiosity, respect, and care.

You’ll gain valuable experience while helping make dance more inclusive and healing.
Tango is for people with two left feet, no rhythm, zero experience — and a full heart.
If you can walk, you can tango. We do the same movements as physical therapy — forward, backward, side-to-side, pivoting, balancing — but with music, community, and a lot more fun.
You’ll be surrounded by supportive people, beautiful music, and a space where everyone helps each other grow.
Come as you are. Be who you are. You belong here.
Let tango meet you where you are — and take you somewhere beautiful.

Together, we bring tango into schools, campuses, and youth groups to build empathy, connection, and creativity.
